(IV6) STEM2TV: A Sustainable STEM Education Project for New Asia

Session description

STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education is advocated as a promising approach to prepare 21st-century students and the workforce for the comprehensive global competitiveness. The needs to develop a new paradigm of STEM education from local views, to fit the needs of our students in the New Asia countries, become an emergent and valuable goal for our science education.
Beginning in From 2016, the Taiwanese Ministry of Science and Technology funded the project: The STEM2TV (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics for Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam), which aims to investigate and develop the new generation of STEM education for the new Asia region.
In this invited session, we would like to feature empirical researches on how to start begin out the international cooperation project by leveraging the similarity and accommodating the differences among the new Asia countries in STEM education
